peace talks

Israel-Palestinian peace talks are in Egypt. What will happen? Is there any reason for optimism? It's good that they are talking right now. Abbas is right to reach out, as long as he doesn't intend to betray his people, and continues the demand for a Paltestinian State. As for Sharon, he's talking peace right now, but let's watch him closely. He is a hawk and a war criminal after all. Also, the US should never be in a mediating position between these two. They are not a disinterested third party, and there are actually many supporters of Bush who want to keep all of the occupied territories so they can have their Armaggeddon.
